EL WIRE FOX TERRIER
This Terrier breed is one of the oldest ones. At the beginning it was used to make foxes come out of its earth, which were chased later by tracker dogs. Nowadays, this terrier is used basicaly as a pet. There are two kinds of Fox Terrier, one with wire hair, and one with smooth hair. Both Developer in England about XVII century, and provably descent of several ancestors.
El Fox Terrier es un perro de tamaño pequeño, muy activo, siempre alerta explorando su entorno con movimientos rápidos y una expresión vivaz. De carácter amistoso e intrépido, les encanta jugar y necesitan una buena dosis de actividad diaria. Cuando son cachorros pueden llegar a ser un poco tozudos y dominantes, por tanto, necesita una buena educación desde el principio para establecer correctamente la jerarquía dentro del hogar. Se entiende perfectamente con dueños de temperamento amistoso, extrovertido e intrépido.
Fox Terrier is a small size dog, very active, always in alert and exploring its surrounding with quick movements and a lively expression. With a friendly and intrepid temperament, they enjoy playing and need a big dose of diary activity. When they are pups can be a bit stubborn and prevailing, so a good education from the beginning its need to establish correctly the hierarchy inside home. They get on very well with friendly, extrovert and intrepid temperament owners.
No necesita más cuidados que otra raza; basta con una buena alimentación, desparasitación interna y externa las vacunas necesarias, un cepillado semanal, y una visita al peluquero cada mes y medio aproximadamente, será suficiente para tener a vuestra mascota perfectamente sana y cuidada. Se recomienda que el peluquero use la técnica del “Stripping”, ya que de ésta forma, se arranca solamente el pelo que está “muerto”, y el propietario notará que la cantidad de pelo que se cae es muy inferior, que el pelo mantiene su típica textura áspera, y que el color de las manchas, ya sean marrones o negras, mantendrán su tono y no perderán fuerza.
It does need more cares than other breeds; it is enough with a good diet, an intern and extern desparasitation, the necessary vaccines, a weekly brushing, and a visit to the groomer every month and a half, more or less, will be sufficient to have your pet perfectly healthy and well cared. It is recommended to the groomer to use “Stripping” tecnique, since using this tecnique only “dead” hair is pulled out, and the owner will notice that the amount of fallen hair is much lower, that the hair keeps the typical wire texture, and that the color of the marks, either black or brown, will keep its shade and will not lose strength.
